The CHICANE is an additional brake designed to complement the use of ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical Prusiks in simple rope pruning situations. This additional brake provides permanent braking during the descent, adding friction to the rope. This improves safety and control during descent operations.

The CHICANE is designed to guarantee fluid circulation of the rope through the brake during the ascent. Its design allows excellent support for the assembly formed by the CHICANE and the mechanical Prusik. For optimal support, it is recommended to use an Am'D or OK carabiner (not included) with an H profile and a mechanical Prusik clamping sleeve. This combination ensures that the rope slides smoothly through the brake during the climb.

The CHICANE has an ergonomic handle that provides excellent grip and facilitates movement when returning from the branch. This provides comfort to the user and makes it easier to handle the equipment during pruning tasks.

Installation of the CHICANE is quick and easy thanks to the lockable side plate. This feature allows easy placement and removal of the brake on the rope, streamlining operations in the field. In addition, the CHICANE has a triple action release that helps prevent involuntary openings of the side plate, improving safety during use.
